


Crumb Spell began in a home where the kitchen was always full.
There were four of us big appetites, not much choice in the shops, and a few old cookbooks that sat on the shelf like treasured spellbooks.
Baking wasn’t about perfection. It was about making something from what we had, simple ingredients, familiar recipes, and a feeling that stayed long after the last bite.
That’s where it all started.
And in many ways, it hasn’t changed...


Claudia’s story
After a serious accident, Claudia spent four years in recovery, going through multiple surgeries to rebuild her dominant hand.
Baking became a way back into something familiar.

What began as a quiet return slowly grew into something more, and eventually into Crumb Spell, now built together with her son Robert.
Today, everything is still made by hand, with the same care and patience. Claudia focuses on the baking, while Robert shapes how the brand is seen and shared.
It’s not just a business, it’s something rebuilt, step by step.
Our Mission


We focus on doing a small number of things well.
Our madeleines are baked fresh and filled by hand, with everything made in-house using high-quality ingredients, sourced locally where possible.
They are gluten-free, coeliac-friendly and halal-friendly, but always flavour first.
At the stall, we invite people to try before they choose.
