Using our website

By using this website and placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Products

We sell handmade baked goods. Product images are for illustration; as items are handmade and seasonal, colours and finishing may vary slightly from batch to batch.

We currently sell madeleine boxes (6 / 12 / 18) and flavour options as listed on our website.

Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in GBP (£). Prices may change from time to time.
A flat delivery fee of £7 applies to UK delivery orders unless otherwise stated on the website.

Payment must be made at checkout unless we have agreed another arrangement with you in writing (e.g., certain event/large orders).

Allergen and gluten-free information

Our products are made using gluten-free ingredients and are intended to be coeliac-friendly. Pistachio products contain tree nuts. Other products may contain traces due to shared kitchen handling.

We take great care with allergen information and handling, but we cannot guarantee allergen-free products. If you have allergies or dietary requirements, please read our Allergen Information page and contact us before ordering if you are unsure.

Orders

When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation. Your order is accepted once payment is received and we confirm the order details via the website confirmation email (and/or via message where required).

If we are unable to fulfil an item due to availability, we will contact you to offer an alternative or a refund.

Pre-orders, cancellations and deposits

We accept cancellations for pre-orders up to 48 hours before the scheduled dispatch or collection time.

If a deposit has been paid (where applicable), deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel within the allowed timeframe, we will refund any remaining balance paid (excluding the deposit).

Cancellations within 48 hours of dispatch/collection are not refundable as we begin preparing orders in advance.

Delivery (UK)

We deliver across the UK using Royal Mail / Post Office 48-hour service.

Delivery times are estimates provided by the courier. While we aim to dispatch orders carefully and on time, we cannot guarantee courier performance, especially during busy periods or disruptions.

Please ensure your delivery address is correct. If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failed delivery, we may be unable to refund perishable goods. If a reshipment is possible, additional shipping charges may apply.

Collection / pickup (if offered)

If you choose collection/pickup, you are responsible for collecting within the agreed window. If you cannot collect, please contact us as soon as possible. As our products are perishable, refunds may not be available for missed collections.

Returns and refunds

Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, or there is an issue with quality on arrival, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery/collection with your order number and photos where possible. We may offer a replacement, partial refund, or full refund at our discretion.

Storage and enjoyment

Storage guidance is provided on the website and/or included with your order. Once delivered/collected, it is your responsibility to store products appropriately.

Intellectual property

All content on this website (text, images, branding, design) belongs to Crumb Spell or is used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce or use it without written consent.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under UK consumer law. We are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control (for example, courier delays, weather, or service disruptions).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to your order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
